10 great places to enjoy skiing and winter activities in the UK (Part 1)

It is not always the UK that will get snow during Christmas, but scattered throughout the country there will be snowy areas throughout the winter months. If you’re lucky enough to be able to enjoy the weather, get ready to keep warm and take on snowmen, snowboarders, and ‘snowball battles’ too!

1. The plateau

Scottish national parks will look more wild and magical when covered by a snow carpet. The area around Glencoe (a famous valley) is a popular place for winter sports – so if you’ve ever wished to ski or snowboard, this is your chance.

2. The Dark Hedges road

Come and admire the magical and impressive road at any time this year. This is one of the filming locations for the famous TV series Game of Thrones, and it is on the list of the most ‘fairy-like’ places in the world.

The Dark Hedges is a road with sides planted large oak trees in Antrim province, Northern Ireland. The tree was planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to welcome guests to visit their Georgian castle. These days this is the most photographed natural setting in Northern Ireland. This road looks even more magnificent when it snows.

3. London

London may not look as wild and snow-covered as it is in rural UK, but enjoying the transformation of the city this season is a very special thing worth catching. wait. The noisy capital suddenly became quiet and quiet – then it became hilarious when everyone stopped to make a snowman on the way to work!
