Check out Weather and seasons for safety tips, then explore the most beautiful places in the UK with snow. Here are the 10 attractive destinations in the UK to enjoy skiing and other winter sports. Let’s check out!

1. The plateau

Scottish national parks will look more wild and magical when covered by a snow carpet. The area around Glencoe (a famous valley) is a popular place for winter sports – so if you’ve ever wished to ski or snowboard, this is your chance.

Check out VisitScotland’s ski guide for weather and snow guidance, or you can find out if the school you are attending has a ski club or snowboarding club – lots of clubs. Student organizations organize trips to ski resorts in the UK or the EU this season of the year.

As can be seen, the plateau is one of the favorite place to enjoy winter activities in the UK.

2. The ‘The Dark Hedges’ road

Come and admire the magical and impressive road at any time this year. This is one of the filming locations for the famous TV series Game of Thrones, and it is on the list of the most ‘fairy-like’ places in the world.

The Dark Hedges is a road with sides planted large oak trees in Antrim province, Northern Ireland. The tree was planted by the Stuart family in the 18th century to welcome guests to visit their Georgian castle. These days this is the most photographed natural setting in Northern Ireland. This road looks even more magnificent when it snows.
